This Month – John Dick Winters

John Dick Winters is a stand up comedian, comedy producer and storyteller based in Pittsburgh but has performed as far away as just outside of Pittsburgh. He is the founder of the burning bridges comedy club and Burning Bridges festival, which has become the largest comedy fest in Pennsylvania. probably, we didn’t fact check that.

Touring the country on the national independent comedy circuit for nearly a decade John has worked with countless of incredibly talented comics that no one has ever heard of and a few whose names you may actually recognize such as: Aparna Nancherla, Brian Posehn, James Adomian, Sean Patton, Ron Funches, Kyle Kinane, Sara Schaefer, Rory Scovel, Geoff Tate, Kyle Dunnigan, Shane Torres, Steve Byrne and the late Ralphie May.
His style is part observational, part autobiographical, part mumble. Heavily tattooed, always in black, standing well over 6ft tall, John looks intimidating but his comedy is anything but. John Dick Winters will play your bar, your living room, your black box theater, your garage, your comedy club and whoever is in attendance will leave smiling. Or they will at the very least leave.

Comedians:

Todd Riley

From the moment he stepped on stage in Ohio in 2008, Todd knew comedy is what he wanted to do with his life. He brings an excellent stage presence and a must-see comedic voice to the stage that can best be described as “Perfectly Inappropriate.” His Midwestern upbringing mixed with his “big city” personality makes him a perfect mix for audiences all over the country. Over the past 10 plus years, Todd has climbed the comedy ranks and can now be seen touring the nation’s most premier comedy clubs. He was featured in the 2014 Oddball Festival and even appeared in Comedy Central’s Up Next Comedy Contest. When Todd is not out headlining his own shows, he can be seen performing alongside the best headliners in the business including Rob Schneider, Jon Lovitz and John Witherspoon, just to name a few.

Colin Cook

Cook is a stand up comic now based in New York City, originally from a small town in Connecticut. Colin combines a likable stage persona, with an affinity for talking about hate-able topics, in an attempt to get a crowd to laugh at what they know is wrong. The anatomy of a joke is not lost on this comic, using dark observational comedy to take an audience through personal anecdotes and make them relate on an uncomfortable level.
